Just a little update during this somewhat busy season! I am grateful for Christmas orders, but it is definitely a delicate balance of time!!
Here is an announcement I recently designed and ordered! My lab does such a great job. I like to order in “pearl finish” which lends a slightly shimmery texture to the card and really gives it depth!
Of course, it never hurts to have a sweet little baby to model for you. Here are a few of my favorites of baby Cason!
Here we have an example of a stunningly adorable family! Meet: Lindsay, Bryan and Izzy! They are my friends from my last job, as well as the finders (not keepers.. but sometimes I wish it so, haha) of one of my dogs, Apple! I think they are so cute. We went on an OKC trek, just enjoying some candid moments and attempting to get Izzy to look for some more posed family shots. It worked in a few of them!! I can’t wait to print some of these for my own studio.

okay, aside from thinking this is sweet, I also think this one is so funny. Izzy looks like she’s trying to ignore what’s going on behind her. In reality, I think this was a serious micro-second frame where she was standing still. But I still love it
I have been dying to post this session for the last WEEK. I managed to somehow finish this 4 full days earlier than my deadline, which, if you know me, is a huge accomplishment for me right now! I LOOOOVE these girls- they are SO cute. Holy moly. They have so many expressions and energy and cute pink cheeks and bright, beautiful eyes!! A dream for any photographer.

Right before I moved from Oklahoma, I had the pleasure of photographing one of my very favorite families! Stephanie is a dear friend to me, and we worked together for over 4 years! It is always amazing to me when work friends turn into real friends who I happen to work with. That’s a true gift!
Anyway, they’re a goofy group… Joe, I’m talking to you. By the way, Joe helped me out in the BIGGEST way possible to someone starting a new business: he put together my client proofing website. It’s flash based, it has a shopping cart, it sends me email… it’s the smartest website ever. I am -eternally- grateful to him for the selfless help. If anyone ever needs website/animation/graphic design help, let me know and I’ll send you his information. He’s amazingly talented!!! He is like a superstar to me. He’s on his way to being quite A Big Deal.
Aside from all of that- I’m still testing out how I want my watermark to look…. I know, I know. It has changed somewhere between 3 or 4 times…. all variations of each other. I think this one is going to stick though! It finally captures the mood I want, as well as gets the job done without being too loud. What do you think? It’ll work itself out soon…. streamlining graphics is a lot of work. I do have to say though, I’m designing the coolest boutique packaging for client orders. I’m looking forward to blogging it soon!!

I recently traveled to Houston to do a shoot for my beautiful friend, Shannon! She is founder/owner of Oh Happy Pets, and will take care of all your pet-sitting needs if you happen to live in the Houston area! She is getting her website up and going (www.ohhappypets.com) and needed some head shots and promos… so what better than to roll around in mud?! I’ve been wanting to do a mud shoot since April, and I finally got my chance. We were g-r-o-s-s afterwards, but it was so fun! As you can see, Billy thought he’d died and gone to dog heaven….

I had the pleasure of shooting Laura & Clint’s engagement session back in July! We went after a long day at work and it was, oh, probably 100 degrees in the humid Oklahoma weather…. but they were excellent sports (Clint was probably the nicest guy to take goofy directions without any fuss!) and they let me shoot for 3 full hours! We trucked all around downtown OKC and shot until dusk. Here are some of my favorites…. I think they look adorable in every photo…. what do you think??? I can’t wait to see what Laura has in store for their wedding! xoxo
